Year 8 Pupil Shines at Junior Royal Northern College of Music

Amelia in year 8 performed in her first external concert for Junior Royal Northern College of Music (JRNCM) recently. These concerts are by invitation of the head of JRNCM only and consist of around 4 of the school pupils playing a range of different instruments and arrangements to the paying public.  Usually for the external concerts the older members of the music school are chosen (those over 16 due to the playing calibre needed as they are representing the school to the outside world) and for Amelia to asked at the age of 12 is a great achievement for her.

Everyone at the school is extremely proud of her and all she has achieved in music, she has just sat her grade 5 theory (fingers crossed for the results) and is working towards her grade 7 on the trumpet, this is alongside her flugel and piano playing, she is aiming that by the time she is 16 she will have achieved diploma level on her trumpet.
